FAIRMONT CHÂTEAU FRONTENAC
Masonry repair work
Quebec, QC
Château Frontenac was built at the end of the 19th century with the aim of making it the stopover of choice for travelers from the Pacific. Perched on Cap Diamant on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, this historic monument has been designated a world heritage jewel by UNESCO.
Our participation consisted of various masonry works such as repointing, stone replacement, stone remodeling work using specialist “Yahn” mortar, crack repair and the restoration of two gargoyles. Also, our work involved the demolition and reconstruction of the ceiling of the arch on rue du Trésor.
